What is the enVision math program about? ›

What is enVision Mathematics? enVision packs a unique one-two punch. Lessons start with Problem-Based Learning (PBL), where students must think critically about a real-world math problem, evaluate options, collaborate, and present solutions. This is followed by Visual Learning to solidify the underlying math concepts.

Criticism. Parents and teachers who opposed the New Math in the U.S. complained that the new curriculum was too far outside of students' ordinary experience and was not worth taking time away from more traditional topics, such as arithmetic.

Imagine Math has grade-level pathways built for grades 3+, Algebra I, Geometry, and college test prep. The program also has grade 1 and 2 lessons available for support and remediation. Teachers and administrators have the option to create custom pathways and assign multiple pathways.
